| a couple of years ago, on the way to Eastern Europe from Incheon to do a bike tour, they actually opened up my bike box I WAS CHECKING and took my allen keys. I needed those keys to put the bike together... I spent an entire day walking around Krakow trying to find an allen key set. |

| Flew from Incheon to Vancouver with shaving cream, toothpaste, lotion, all in plain site. No worries. Get told I can't take that stuff on my 15 minute flight from Vancouver to Victoria. And people say Koreans have no sense. |

| i don't have a problem with the regulations except that if you purchase it inside the airport security area, they should not confiscate it. they took my green tea i had just purchased at narita. i'm glad it wasn't some expensive sake. under that interpretation, the liquor you purchase at the duty free shops is game. |

You can get rockets and launchers at that big bookstore in Seoul. |

umm...no it's not. You buy it at Duty Free and it is delivered to you at the Boarding Gate. You don't bring it through security. |

I still don't understand why I can't bring my industrial-strength pesticides in my carry-on baggage. It's fascism. |

Despite your excellent taste in music, as far as I'm concerned, nobody cares what you're listening to 'right now.' |

Indeed! The wheels are already turning.
My obsession with fruit-flavored butter will NOT be squelched by a minor setback!

Yeah, I feel ya. That's why I said in the OP it was my fault. I don't know why, but for some reason it just didn't occur to me when I was packing. So who am I to talk about hairbrained, eh?

was that my bottle of real american pepsi?!
the reece's peanut butter cups got here okay though, right?
please, please, please say the peanut butter cups survived the trip...

Indeed, it was your Pepsi, ma'am. However, I was able to purchase another one in the terminal. The cups are okay, but a little bit smooshed, I think. They looked too flat when I unpacked my suitcase. However, I did spy a fellow waeg eating cups last night, and was informed she purchsed them in Korea.

I go back to the security line where there's a different guy there who says "Man, if I wasn't on my break I would have let you through for sure." Then they don't even check my bag! |
Terrible story. That's a lot worse than losing a couple condiments and beverages. I've only got one thing with any sentimental value attached to it, and I know I'd be crushed to have it taken by some grubby airport drone. Sorry to hear about that.

Whatever.. (clever, I know!) I think it's cool to see what she's listening to. Find something better to b[i]tch about, like a purloined Pepsi. This complaint is right up there with people telling mindmetoo about his avatars. Get over it! |

Thanks. |
