No, there is some interesting history here.

The toilet seat was invented by a Belgian in 1682. In 1683 a Dutchman cut a hole in it.

Thomas Crapper invented the automatic flushing cistern - and many other things for drains and plumbing.

In England, the expression "loo" does indeed come from French, but not the word lieu. In olden days, folks used to chuck their night soil out of the window warning the throng below with the words "gardez l'eau" - mind the water. This was corrupted to simply "loo".

My knowledge about bathrooms only extends to knowing how to use one and flushing afterwards and putting the seat down:)

Yes, it pi$$es me off that women never put the seat up when they've finished.

I stretch like a cat in the sun, and then crawl to the kitchen for coffee.

While I've been in the States, my next move is to the driveway for the New York Times in the blue plastic rain bag. Cool one of the few things I crave when I live abroad.

Scratch and Piss

Why do toilets come with lids if no one ever uses'em? Pet peeve o'mine is the seat and lid has to be placed down. Lids are there for a reason. Prevent the odd hairbrush from fall'n in and no need to look at toilet "stains" while brushing your teeth. And it prevents that decades-old arguement "Who left the toilet seat up?!" Wink

wake up 15 mins before reporting for duty: stroll to the fridge, pour some milk into a cup and nuke it for 2:30mins.
turn around and brush my teeth in the bathroom. finish, just as the milk is hot, empty 2 stick of maxims into it, stir and put into freezer compartment for 5 mins, while i get dressed.
Take coffee out, chugg it down and rinse with mouth wash.

put on shoes and walk the 7:30mins to work; reporting for duty on time! Laughing

is that considered OCD?

First thing is usually try to figure out what the hell is going on because I have such vivid dreams it sometimes takes a while to snap back into reality. Next thing is go hawk up as big a loogie as I can and rinse my mouth out well. I hate morning breath.

I hope that's not in a jimjilbang Shocked

in my one and only visit to a jimjilbang in Seoul, I was sleeping next to a Korean girl. She kept waking me up in the night by turning over and putting her arm around me! I think she was a bit drunk. It was a real only-in-Korea kind of experience.
