im on xpeed as well. and i also use a mac.
the thing you are describing is a problem with their dns server. i dual boot windows xp and i get the same errors. sometimes with digg.com sometimes gmail.com and lots of other websites.
i can tell you how to fix the problem.
how computer literate are you? do you know how to edit your internet settings? dhcp/ip/dns etc... |

ok. give this a shot. it _should_ work.
you need to change your DNS server(s).
1. Open System Preferences (it should be down on your dock)
2. From System Preferences, open Network
3. You should see a list of your network interfaces. If not, click on the Show dropdown at the top and select 'Network Status'.
4. Select the interface you use to connect to the internet (Ethernet, Airport, etc).
5. Press Configure
note: you may have to click the lock in the lower left so you can edit these settings.
6. In the Configure IPv4 dropdown it should say 'Using DHCP'. If not, select that.
7. In the DNS Servers box type this (no quotes)
'208.67.222.222'
'208.67.220.220'
8. Click the Apply Now button and then quit System Preferences.
Restart your browser and then try to access the messed up sites a few times.
lemme know if that works. |

| I thought it was DNS problem. I had the same problem in Australia. Ive put in your DNS numbers but the messed up pages are the same. On digg.com the banner loads in a second but the news taks about 60 seconds.. Are you with Powercom? |

Strange, the new DNS setting made no effect... Is there anything else I can try?
Gmail is fast but digg.com is very slow. Ive also had problems loading other sites like the 'buy skype credit' page on skype.com |
