Sorry. I must of misread this quote:

| Need I remind the general populace of the typical disdain the liberals hold for our men in uniform. |

No problem. Thanks for participating you inspired a pretty decent rant. |

Look at this quote from the article.
"Rep. Ellen O. Tauscher, D-Calif., said Wednesday she thought Pace was guilty of a dereliction of duty because of his support for Bush's Iraq policy."
Guilty she said guilty the word guilty is a legal term not to be taken lightly , as in innocent until proven guilty, as in not even charged. I remember Nixon (dating myself) nearly got hung for saying Charles Manson was guilty.
These types of statements are scandalous, libelous, treacherous, scurrilous and slanderous. |
Well, if we are to be careful with words, perhaps we should apply that standard to ourselves. The quote you used states she said SHE THINKS. That, son, is an opinion. You just made the same mistake you accused her of. Problem is, she didn't make a mistake if she stated it as an opinion. Using your own standard, "I think he is guilty" does not equal "He is guilty."
Bzzzzt!
Thanks for playing. |

for the solitary poisonous purpose of calling me a liar,
how broad minded is that?
Next, you challenge my privilege to post on this forum.
You got a special invitation or a badge to show for your esteemed status?
PUT UP OR SHUT UP.
Your actions are so hypocritical, a good nickname for you would be hyppo.
By the way, your recent and highly unpopular thread titled
Obscenity and Censorship - Forum Ethics
demonstrates both your hypocrisy and limited mental capacity.
You gripe about something you consider obscene,
but you fail to identify what avatar you are referring to.
That is dumb, because no one could know what the object of your gripe was.
And your hyper sensitivity toward whatever you think is obscene,
indicates an acute case of narrow mindedness.
You don't like the statistics I posted on my thread?
I don't care about the statistics on your oversized ID badge you are flashing.
However old you may be, you need to GROW UP.
In conclusion, to answer your original question, yes.

Well, there was a thread once where I had to correct the incorrect grammar rules you were putting forth, so I wouldn't characterize things as such.
Meanwhile, I wasn't referring to you. I seldom respond to your posts, for that matter. They're just too intelligent and useful for my tastes.

You forgot the now you shut up part.
Now you shut up! |
OK, will do. |

No, it's a historical paradox. Concentrate Concentrate |

Sorry to be a week late and coupla days more, but my eyes start to glaze when smg gets into one of his pompous and semi-coherent tirades with little in the way of sense attached to them ...

In your book, it was dumb, because you disagreed. In my book it was dumb because it gave ammo to the enemy, so to speak. At most it showed he was guility of an indiscretion. He is still, however, a citizen, a right he doesn't waive just because he wears the uniform. As for his intelligence and judgment, well that's a matter of open debate, now isn't it? |
Um, I sort of thought open debate is what we are doing ... and I'm not the only one who thought it was dumb, or even egregious. It was just dumb, bad judgment, and our troops deserve leaders with good judgment.
And, sorry to break the news, but you put on a uniform of the American Armed forces, and you stand up and talk in front of people, there ARE some limitations on what you can talk about while wearing that uniform, so no, you're not the same as a private citizen anymore. To a more limited extent, it even applies to postmen, believe it or not, and if you don't KNOW that, your keepers ought not be letting you out of the house and mingle, cuz you might hurt yourself somewhere ...

Gee, ya think so? You get this week's award for stating the obvious. But it wasn't and isn't my driving concern in this thread. |
But that IS what the thread is about, you know ...
| Quote: |
| Try to stay focused, will ya? No one's accusing those who vote Democrat of being traitors or less-than-patriotic. I am, however, accusing this particular Democratic congressional leadership of exploiting their political powers in an unseemingly and less than high spirited manner. |
Well, that's your opinion and you're welcome to it. I think they are engaging in a little thing some of us like to call democracy and governing. And they are being FAR more "seemly" than than the Uglican Congress was during the whole Monica Lewinsky thing ... oh, sorry, I'm stating the obvious again, and you don't like that.
Honest, I'll try stop saying things that you and everyone already knows. That is, if you will promise to stop acting like you are not aware of the obvious, of course ...

I was merely equating said behavior to that of Richard M. Nixon.
That was the standard of the comparison.
I need not be held to the same standard I do not hold public office.

AND YOUR SPELLING SUCKS TOO |
I believe I was trying to respond to Steve McGarrett, if you see there was a later post where I acknowledged this is an official fiveO thread.
However I am in complete admiration of your creative use of wit sarcasm.
My spelling doesn't really suck, sometimes my fingers don't fit the keyboard, they swell with the weather due to my ancient nature, and to add to that when my knuckles ache sometimes I forget to use my spell checker.
Which thread did I poison? Let me know maybe I can resurrect it with my cunning and wit.
I do not challenge anyone's privilege to post here and never will.
The thread to which you speak was not intended to be popular, however the offensive avatars are fewer these days, and so the thread was successful in that the intent of the thread was realized.
You lost me on the ID Badge and I don't remember the statistics.
Maybe you should take this to the "Posters I hate and why" thread.
....and now back to your regularly scheduled fiveO exclusive. |
