So I got offered public school job there 2.1won (22teaching hours) nice apartment with 2 rooms (to myself) with a computer and everything else. Not sure about air conditioning or heating yet (have to ask). They said it is 10min walking from the school and 15min walking from Sanbon.
Will I be happy there? I like to go out on weekends to bars clubs...sometimes tursdays as well...or will i be bored out of my mind?
What exactly is GEPIK? It says something about that in my contract and i've been seeing pretty bad things about it on the boards. |

Gungnae Elementary School, right?
I'm the teacher at Gungnae Middle School next door, however, I'm not in GEPIK. I do know one of the Korean English teachers at the school and he's a really nice guy. I do also know that the current teacher lives with her husband (hence the reason there is a 2 bedroom apt.) What else?
The school is in a well-off area and students will be considered to be medium to high level for Korea.
As for drinking....well it's located in a strict non-drinking area. Alcohol is prohibited and is only available if you go to the nearest city (about 1 hour and 45 minutes away).
Seriously, just do a quick search about Sanbon and you'll find that it's a very popular place to live, very close to Anyang, and a simple commute into Seoul. |
