I think the PS3 runs all US and Japanese games right?
All Blu-Ray movies from region 1: Japan, US, Korea. but not region 1 DVD's.
I have a 720p television though. Can I run games and Blu-ray movies in 720p or does it need to be 1080p?
I think there is a firmware upgrade. Is that easy to do with a Korean PS3? |

1. Right
2. Right.
3. Right, 720p is a good resolution for the current gen of games. Even if a game is capable of 1080p, it will look great in 720p. Most games now are written specifically for 720p. I don't watch many movies with mine, but 720p works great.
4. Yes. Firmware updates can be a)downloaded from your computer and put on a memstick then to your ps3, or b)downloaded automatically on the Playstation Network. |

no the PS3 is not a rip-off. The PS3 has a blu-ray drive, which range from 800-1000 for stand alone players. It can also run Linux.
And xbox 360's break like every 6 months. |
