This is probably a long-shot in the land of backwards laws, but I'll ask.
Is there a housing code or list of renters' rights in Korea, specifically Seoul?
By this, I mean are there certain criteria that all apartment owners must follow? Is there is list of things apartment owners cannot do, especially regarding improper rules like a curfew, prohibition of guests, etc?
Also, are rules given to a tenant AFTER a contract is signed valid if the rules are not in the contract itself?
If any of these regulations exist, where can I find a copy in English or Korean?
I know there is a law against discrimination of foreigners, but let's face it, if an owner doesn't like you, he won't rent to you, whatever the reason may be. |

I have never seen one, other than the rules on deposits (chunsae), but if you do find something I would love to get a copy (English or Korean). |
