|
|
A few months ago there was a thread on this, but the search engine is failing me.
Someone posted some steps involved with how your school could help to secure a thai g/f's visa, and so on. It was such useful information from someone who had gone through the process of "sponsoring" a thai for a short visit.
I understand that Thais can get a tourist visa for Korea, but also understand that they can get turned away if something looks amiss.
Can anyone find and link me to that thread?.....or provide the same or similar information?
My g/f wants to visit for a week or so in a month from now.
Cheers x 100 |

She might have the same requirements as Filipinos. If that is the case, it will be difficult for her to get a tourist visa. She should have a job, money in the bank and a reason to return to Thailand. Otherwise they will think she is coming to work and to become an illegal. |

Hmmm.....I imagine this would be to convince the Korean officials as opposed to the Thai ones...., no?
So, what are we talking here?, a letter from her employer and a copy of her updated bank book (with balance)?? |

had no problems with my thai g/f she received 3 months visa upon arriving and we simply did visa runs for the first year until we got married (here - Gu office). Then she got a family - dependant alien card

Yes, a letter from employer, bank statement, and your info. I would have her call the korean ocnsulate and ask what they need from her and what they need from you. I just know the prodedures for filipino tourists, but I am sure its the same. |
