Get out of my country. We've already got a military.

I care about my country; the land part not really the people. Thats fine if you don't care about yours, I can see why people wouldn't. New Zealand makes it incredibly difficult for educated hardworking people to become citizens, unless you're a Somalian refugee, then the more the merrier Rolling Eyes

It doesn't define who I am, that's for sure.

So, in response to your question...No, I really don't care where I am from.

All countries deserve respect.

Yes and no.

I care about my family and loved ones.

I don't care about nationalism.

I like where I'm from and I like where I am but it really doesn't matter on an interpersonal level. I hate people whose icebreaking question is "Where are you from?"

Im with you. Countries ( apart from islands ) are artificial political constructions. Patriotism and nationalism are primative backwards impulses that dont help people, only governments. There is absolutely nothing to be proud about the fact that you were randomly born on a particular peice of dirt.

Ok I'm quibbling, but islands are artificial political constructions also. Go far enough back and that island was probably filled with hundreds of little kingdoms or whatever and many different languages/dialects.

-Some people don't know what country I'm from. I try not to tell them, and if they ask, I say something stupid, like East of here, and west of there. Works like a charm.

I'm more of a 'I don't care' person.. suppose that's why I get annoyed with Korean patriotism.
