| This is disgustingly poor journalism. Some person in the school district doesn't like the idea and used a sensationalist example (Taco Bell etc etc) to tarnish the program. |
Sorry, could you think of a decent corporate name for a high school? |
No need to say sorry. Just stop reading anti-cap nonsense.
Google, Microsoft, Lucent, RIM, Nokia, Sony, Sanyo, Honda, Toyota and Nortel (as it is Canada). There are more firms out there than fastfood joints and supermarkets. |

Well, they already name schools after people that shouldn't have school's named after them. Immediately, the Hmong general in California that just got slapped with criminal charges comes to mind. He had a school named after him.
Thankfully, my high school was named after my town and not a person. I would resent saying
"I went to Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy High School."
I wouldn't mind going to "Kraft Macaroni and Cheese High School. Its the Cheesiest!" |

Is anti-cap the new target of your bucket brigade? It seems anytime someone suggests companies and corporations should not do "x" you freak out with all of your "commie pinko" BS.
How is this an issue of capitalism? Did Smith have that in mind? Has ANYONE ever thought this was a good idea?
Are you suggesting that in a free market companies should be allowed to do and buy anything they want check (and guilt) free?
I can see some of the names coming as a good gas: Hormel High would be fantastic; Samuel Adams High (that one just makes too much sense). |
