Ok so it's test week here at my public elementary school, and I'm taking a break from marking my 6th grade tests (last grade to mark) to post this note I found on one of the tests. She wrote it all in the margins, for me to read. First she told me her favorite song is Lemon Tree by foolsgarden. Then on the other side she wrote this (I'm posting it word for word, including spelling and or grammar mistakes).

To Jenniper - Hi, thanks for teaching us. It's a pleasant day. I think I must tell this to you. Students like you. I will go to the USA at July 9th. Bye Teacher. Postscript: I think you are pretty, all of you, especially Jenniper (I'm not sure about this spelling. Actually I'm not a good writer).

It was just kinda nice. She never told me she was leaving to go to the USA, and I think it's because she's a little shy with her conversational skills, but it was nice to read. Thought I'd share it with you all. Sometimes we have a bigger influence than we might think (especially on bad days), and we are often appreciated more than we think.

Smile

Yeah, the old compliment on the test trick.
I got the same thing from some of my female uni students on their final exams, too.

"You are a good teacher. I like you. I want to go Canada."
A+ !

Haha actually I didn't read the note until after I had finished marking her test. She pulled a 95% anyway haha. Smart kid. I think this was just her way of saying goodbye, without having to actually speak hahaha.
