anybody thinking about going to this? August 11 and 12.

more importantly, anybody been in the past? if so, how is it? I'm really thinking about going, but it would set me back quite a few won. so I'd like to know if it's worth it.

most of the headliners are total *beep*, gag-worthy even, but there are more than enough quality acts to make it worthwhile. (maximo park, interpol, modest mouse, bonde do role, hot chip, css, dj shadow, digitalism, motorhead, lcd soundsystem, etc.) besides, gimme enough sake and i'm sure i could enjoy avril lavigne. okay maybe not.

and what about osaka vs. tokyo? not that i'll have much time for sightseeing, but i've never been. where's the better party? which ones easier to navigate?

What you talking about? Arctic Monkeys are the best band in that line up by a country mile. I'd go for them alone.

arctic monkys never really did it for me. maybe i need to give them more time.

i'd go for hot chip and bloc party.

interpol, modest mouse, and bright eyes are excellent, but i've seen them a bunch.

tops on my list of other bands to check out live would be vitalic, lcd soundsystem, and polyphonic spree.

Aside from DJ Shadow, Interpol, Modest Mouse and Cut Chemist, that's got to be the still-popular-in-Asia-because-Asia-doesn't-know-shit-and-wouldn't-if-they-even-sort-of -did moment of the year.

Aside from that, the venue totally blows. Imagine a convention center...now add Avril Lavigne?!

went last year....was great...lineup not so heavy this year but the japs will go nuts for offspring...will be a great atmosphere...go if you can
