I was there, Iraq had some decent chances too, keeper made some good saves... Korea were too good though. |

I watched it on TV last night and was fairly impressed. It's not as though Iraq doesn't have some talent but after the first ten minutes they seemed to have no ideas. Korea kept up the pressure the way they have to against lesser teams. It should be a great confidence booster for the Red Devils. Hopefully with more consistant finishing they'll be able to give just about any top-notch side a run for their money.
Huge crowd for Jeju on a Friday at 8pm, wasn't it? |

yep much better than my previous visits to see jeju united supported by a few hundred (even on the first day of the season with free tickets). Good atmosphere. |

Were the fans mostly locals or did that many people from the mainland make it there by eight? |

i would imagine that they were mostly locals because i think you could only get tickets on the island. Also the fact that it wasnt as red shirted and drum banging as i have seen (on tv) leads me to believe that it was mostly locals going with the kids. Never seen the south of the island so busy. |

So will Korea now move up into the world's 50th best team slot in the FIFA rankings? Not bad. |

According to www.Fifa.com , Korea is 51st in the world. They are behind such soccer powerhouses such as Mali (49th) and Republic of Guinea (50th). Japan is 40th.
Iraq is 84th in the world. |

There are a lot of good players coming out of West Africa these days, watch the Premier League. Not a bad warm up for the Korean side, but they'll struggle against Japan, Saudi and Australia in the Asia Cup. |

Hey, I'm glad you had fun watching soccer. Soccer is a great sport to watch. Beating Iraq was a big win. Maybe there will be a rematch in the World Cup Finals.
All true, in Bizarro World. |
