Can anyone share personal experiences and/or trip reports? I'm planning a 5 day surfing trip in July and hope to find waves/conditions ideal for long boarders ..

My gut tells me Indonesia is an ideal destination but not necessarily suited for weekend warrior types...

Comments are welcome!

I'll put in an extra vote for Siargao (cloud 9) and you can stay at Patricks on the beach resort
( http://www.patricksonthebeach.com/ ) at General Luna on the island.
Sagana is pretty decent too. http://www.cloud9surf.com/

SEAair flies there 3 times a week from Cebu. If the break at cloud 9 is a too intense there are other less intense places for OK surfing there as well.

I'm leaning towards Indonesia very heavily; specifically Kuta Beach. I'll make Kuta base camp and check out Bukin (sp?) Peninsula. I hear Sanur has nice breaks too?

Thanks for your comments
