|
|
Hey, I'm getting my laptop shipped to Korea from the US. It was sent U.S. postal service express. Does anybody know how long it should take? I'm guessing two to three weeks.
Also, does another shipper take over when it gets inside Korea? I figured they had some arrangement with another private carrier like DHL or UPS.
Fed Express usually takes only a week but they wanted 322$ to ship it insured for 700$ value. |

It will take a couple of weeks max. It will be delivered by Korea Postal Service. However, if it was shipped with the true value of hte package written on te outside and its a new laptop, you are going to have to pay some heavy import duties. I can't remember what the percentage is exactly, but you're gonna have to pay a couple hundred bucks I should think. You will probably get a slip in your mailbox saying where it is being held, how muc hyou have to pay, and when to pick it up. If it doesn't show up soon, that means that customs has it but doesn't know how to contact you to get you to pay hte import tax. |

it's not brand new. It was opened, fooled with by my dad for a few eeks and repacked in a case in a different slightly bigger and stronger box. Should I have to pay any tax on it then? |
