Hi
You may want to check first if it is open. It closed in Feb due to safety problems. It was meant to be closed for at least 3 months. I was there a few weeks ago and it still looked liked nothing was working. |

Wikipedia seems to suggest that only the outdoor portion is closed.
What other theme parks and amusement parks are there in Korea?
One side of this country to the other is about the same distance we
drive to go to Worlds of Fun in Kansas City. |

It was closed...hence the bravery statement. It was closed due to a death. But...they've fixed it all up and had their grand opening last Sunday.
Worlds of Fun, eh? I worked there for two summers. Mostly on Beat Street and just off the Timberland ride.
I spoke to a rep today and he said that a goup of 20 or more can get in for 25,000 a piece (reg34,000) for an all day pass. |

My friend was there last week. I didn't tell him about safety concerns. |

Worlds of Fun? In Kansas City, MO? Great big green Anaconda roller coaster ride!
I understand Korea has Everland near Seoul. I understand it serves as Korea's Disney World.
I sure miss roller coasters and that familiar touristy environment full of diverse peoples common in many places outside of Korea. I sure never felt like a carnival side show before until I came here!!! LOL! |

oOo...i was just at six flags new england the other day. i nearly had a heart attack on superman (someone already died on that ride a couple years back...but he was a rather large guy with cerebral palsy, so i figure the odds are with me)...and now i'm itching to do it again, haha.
i used to live in missurah, too...the mamba is one of the best rides i've been on.
what is with us thinking it's incredibly fun to cheat death, anyway?
"ooh haha i shot towards the ground at 80mph from 200 feet in the air in a little sideless box with nothing holding me down but a bar across my lap and i didn't die haha this is fun!"
that said...when's this going down? i'll be in seoul as of july 7. |

I just checked out the web site for Everland. It looks pretty neat, but I would avoid the Crazy Limo ride if you value your sanity. Apparently, the "Unyielding rotation of 360 makes you to lose you mind."
If I get a chance to go there, I am definitely hitting Holland Village though for a "fresh draft beet."
If you have kids, you'll certainly want to take them by the kiddy pool. The description speaks for itself:
Dukkup, Dukkup, I will give you old house, you give me the new house~
Fish flies into the sky on seesaw~ |

I wouldn't waste your money going to Lotte World. Once you have been there for a few hours, you get bored. Been there twice wtih my school and I tell you, I wouldn't recommend it.
You are way better off going to Everland for the day. Way to more to see and do. There are rides, an animal park, games, and then if you want to pay more you can go to Carribean Bay water park. Yes, the line ups are longer, but I found it way more interesting than Lotte World.
Just my opinion. |

lol...yes...we differ in opinion! I have been to Everland many a time in my 8 years here and I find it sooooooo boring. There is way more to do in the Lotte World area. If you get bored you are right next to other things at Jamsil station or a stop or two away.
In my opinion the rides are too slow at Everland. No thrill for the long wait. AND no mexican restaraunt. ㅋㅋㅋ I know it makes for a nice debate in my classes, too.
I like to bring up things that kids can express their differing opinions on. The kids are usually split on which is better. Some throw in Seoul Land...but I've never been there.
Anyway~~we definately see this differently.
Ahhh...btw...about the waste of money...Lotte world is half off if you have some visa cards. Check it out. I have a Samsung card (so easy to get now that I am a public school teacher) ...love the discount. |

Worlds of fun is fun if you go maybe once or twice a year.
Everland is a lot of fun! I went a long time ago so I wonder if a lot has changed? |

The Zambizi Zinger was my favorite. They said on the news the disassembled it and shipped it to a park in South America.
There was also a small metal roller coaster where each car was separate. It was in the German section and was named something like Das Shasboomer. |

I was in Seoul yesterday. I looked at the indoor Lotte World theme park
while on the mall floors. The balloon ride looked interesting.
I stopped by the city park across the water from the outdoor Lotte
amusement park and watched people riding the outdoor rides. It is open. |
