The main question concerning health care that a country has to answer is imho the following.
Does the country have a duty towards its citizens to cure them when they are sick? |

There are 5 states with a form of universal healthcare provided for their citizens:
California, Maine, Hawaii, Vermont and Massachussets all have some forms of universal heathcare.. or use the term.. so much better than the other 45 states.
I despise Republicans.. but strangely it was Republican Mitt Romney in Massachussets and Republican Governor Arnold Schwartzneggar at each helm when they were able to get it.
Still far from ideal or universal however.. and nothing like UK, France, Canada, etc. in their supposed 'universal' coverage. |
