does anybody know if there are fun youth hostels in seoul like the ones in europe where you make your own meals and meet new peole etc ( around hongdae would be great )
and also if there are any campsites in or around seoul
im planning a trip and im thinking cheap cheap cheap |

Yes. www.seoulbackpackers.com is a cool place. It's located near Insadong accessable by Anguk station, but hard to find on your first walk to it. (at least for me it was!) 17,000 Won per night with like 8 people to a room. It's a small cozy place with mostly friendly travelers and is very foreigner friendly. |

When I first got here i stayed in Kim's in Hapjeong, about a 15 min walk or 2,000 won cab ride to Hongdae. Free toast for breakfast, washer/dryer, free internet, shower, tv. It was nice there. It's in the Lonely Planet book if you want all the details let me know. |

I see people sleeping in subway stations and in front of Seoul Station all the time.
You can get campsites on Bukhansan, but you have to reserve them and I don't know how to do that. |
