Hello People,

I am considering moving to Korea but have some questions. I visit a chiropractor on a regular basis here in the states and it really helps out with my quality of life. Are there chiropractors in Korea or am I out of luck.

Also, when I travelled in Vietnam, Southern China, and Thailand I found a lot of massage places (not to be confused with "sex" places). Are there such places in Korea?

Finally, I enjoy going to the gym, lifting weights, and doing some cardio. Will I have any problem finding gyms in Korea?

Thanks for your insights.

Eric

I've only been here for a few weeks but I've been told that although chiropractors exist here, that you have to be referred to them by a doctor...like chiropractors are second rate practioners or something.

That's what i know about it but I agree....a good chiropractor comes in really handy sometime. if you hear any positive news on that subject, let me know too.

There's a good chiropractor in Itaewon. He also offers massage, but I don't think massage therapists are too hard to find in general. I went to him for chiropractic treatments for several years until I left Korea a few months ago, and I'll probably do so again once I return at the end of the summer. Although ... has anyone else been hearing stuff about chiropractic treatment being linked to strokes? I read a news article about it recently that freaked me out a little.

Anyway, back to Dr. Yoo in Itaewon. Here's his info:

Oh, by the way, there are gyms everywhere in Korea, although the quality varies considerably.
