I was reading the Korean Times today about f-5 Visa's. In the article it said that f-2 visa holders must get "permission for re-entering the country when he or she leaves here."
I was under the impression that I could come and go as I please. So do I need to go the immigration office and tell them before I go on vacation abroad? What is involved in that?

You still need to get a re-entry stamp when you leave the country. Either at your local immigration office or the airport. If you had an E-2, then it is the same stamp you needed when you had that visa.
When you get your F-5, you don't need one anymore. |

Thanks Scott.
I have to check my passport. I may already have a multi-entry stamp. I remember they stamped something in my passport.
