Has anyone had their teeth whitened in Korea, or can recommend a good dentist to go to?

Also what would be the approximate cost....

I think I want to get it done before I go back to Canada and I assume it's a lot cheaper in Korea as well....

thanks!

I was also thinking about this. Is it really cheaper here?

Plus, I had my front teeth half broken in a car accident Evil or Very Mad . The repair job (in the States) was perfect, but I wonder what would happen during a whitening process. Would the difference in substance show up?

What did you get done to repair your teeth?

I had a chip in one of my front teeth and got it fixed here by a specialist dentist. He filled it in with some kind of special "resin" using a laser, and it cost me W200,000. But it kept breaking when I'd go to sleep! By bottom teeth would knock against it and break it off. He would replace it at no cost but after the fourth time I had to ask him what else I could do about it- maybe a mouth guard like those people wear when they grind their teeth at night? The dentist lost a bit of face about it I think but finally agreed to do it and it worked for about a year- until I fell asleep one night forgetting to wear it. I'd love to know what would be more permanent without having to remove too much of the original tooth...

Anyways, before getting the work done I asked about whitening too, and he said I should get the tooth repaired with the resin first before getting them whitened... and I don't remember how much he said it would be, sorry. I do remember thinking it was expensive though. Compared to back home? Dunno.

I just called a couple of dentists advertising in the Groove. One was $650,000 (including teeth cleaning) for Zoom office bleaching, the other was $800,000 for office and home bleaching (or $500,000 for only home bleaching).

What does it cost in Canada?

Dentistry is sub-optimal in Korea and overpriced. Thailand is much better in terms of quality and, prices are less than a 1/4 of what you'd pay here.

In Thai you'd pay around 50,000 and the reason it keeps breaking is cause it wasn't grounded w/ precision....sub-optimal!

That's too much money I think. I got the custom fitted mouth tray for both upper and lower teeth and a home bleaching kit (some new rembrant dentist only type, not store), takes only 30 min. once a day for a week or so and after that once every 2/3 weeks. Total, about $200 for the trays and $200 for like 2 years of tubes.

Yet another thread about bleaching on this board, but I and many others would recommend not to bleach.

I've heard most celebrities get some kind of ceramic?? veneers that keep their teeth white.

Anyone heard about veneers in Korea?
