I've owned 3 Cowon mp3 players and all have been excellent, if that's any help. |

I heard Cowon's sound quality is really good, sounds like you might concur with that.
Ideally I'd like to get my hands on one first before buying, but no one at Yongsan is stocking them yet. |

I'm not sure what the D2 has to do with a discussion about the Iaudio 7, but the page you linked lists both 2 and 4 gig D2s as well as DMB and non-DMB. Additionally, there are D2 packages that come with an SD card (you can see 6, 8, 10, or 12 gig D2s for sale. So, no, they are not all exactly the same. |

Right, I see...I should of googled DMB before. Well, I don't need that service as I'm certainly not gonna watch Ktv on it or use it to send any messages. BTW, which is better the D2 or the iAudio 7, sound quality wise or are they the same? I got offered a D2 4g at Yongson last time I was there for 200,000 and I'm thinking I might go for it. |

A 12GB Cowon D2... I didn't know they existed. I am not a huge music guy so just a fw hundred tracks are good for me. I also would like to store a couple of hundred pics. The remaining gigs I would like to use for videos. How many hours of video can I get out of say, 9-10 GBs on this thing? I would like to do some line-in recording from dvds... |

As I mentioned, a 12 gig D2 is just a regular 4 gig D2 plus an 8 gig memory stick. As far as how many videos? Well, you can put a full season of a TV show on with room to spare. |

Oh, so it's a 4GB plus a 8GB SD card? I was looking at that very scenario today and pricing the 8GB cards online. Seems like I can get an 8GB for about $79. bhphotovideo has the d2 4gb for just $179, then with a $79 8GB card, I can ge the 12GB for $258 plus shipping or about W238,000. That's much cheaper but without DMB - not that I need that. Also, it appears that the DMB only costs about 25-30,000 won more. Still a steal to buy online and get the english manual. |
