I had a Phillips DVD Recorder hooked up to my TV set back home. I recorded a lot of movies and TV shows before I left to come to Korea. The last step you have to perform on a DVD Recorder is to finalize the disc. I have one very important DVD-R disk that I transferred video from my digi-cam, but I forgot to finalize it on the DVD recorder...
So I took the dvd disk down to Yongsan electronics market this past weekend hoping I could finalize it on a dvd recorder, but more than one person told me that I'd have to use a Phillips dvd recorder to do that on.
I'm wondering if it's possible to finalize the disk on a software program. I have Roxio Easy DVD and CD creator 6 (Full version) - but I'm getting nowhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

hey big daddy,
Ok. It has been my experience that if you began writing it using a specific program and left it on mulit-session, then you will have to use that same program to finalize it.What program was it? Can you pull the information from the net? Then maybe you could get the program and finish the process.
However, I am not sure (hopefully someone else can jump in here), but, you may be able to 'explore' the dvd and see what is on it, pull it off of the DVD onto your desktop and just do it again here using a different program.
I am pretty sure about the former, but not the latter. |

It was a Phillips DVDR 3390 stand alone recorder>
I pop the dvd into my dvd drive and it doesn't read it...so I can't explore it.
I open easy dvd-cd creator (6) and explore, and it shows that there is a session and that the dvd isn't finalized, but won't finalize it when I try to use the program to do it.
I've registered on a help site, but can't post for 3 days. |

1 DVDR3390/37 DVD Player/Recorder
2 DVDR3390/37B DVD Player/Recorder
One of those two. I asked my buddy back home which one it is, but haven't gotten a reply yet. I wish I had shipped it over in on the container ship, but I was afraid it would be damaged and I gave it to him. |
