What universities would you recommend that are near or in Toronto besides McMaster and the University of Toronto?

McMaster is in Hamilton, York University is in T.O as well as Ryerson.
I think that's it. Unless you want to go to the Kitchener-Waterloo area which as U or W and Laurier. |

I am thinking of applying to Queen's as well for my master's and Carleton in Ottawa.

I am thinking of an M.A. in psych. I've done poli. sci. I have several business classes under my belt, but I think psych is up my alley. Business is more like a hobby. I think of psych like poli sci but instead of analyzing countries you analyze people. I was looking up universities and York seemed to offer what I was looking for and so was Queen's.
I am also looking at Ottawa and possibly going back to Montreal. I would rather go to Ottawa or Toronto because of the job prospects even though I am bilingual. By the way, that would be an M.A. specialising in Clinical Psychology. Not all universities specialise in that. The Universite d'Ottawa for example offers a combined Master's and PHD which is not what I want. |

| Western has a good Psych program(London)--and it's a pretty nice campus--a super duper pretty one!! But I'm bias as I'm from that area and was going to attend their but opted for another option. |

Hmm... Waterloo was beginning (or had just begun) a program like that around the time I graduated, so who knows where the program is now. |

Waterloo's psych program is an actual Bachelor of Science degree, no? Versus it being a social science at most universities, ie a BA.
York has a good psych program. The only advanced psych degree I can see being useful is Industrial Psychology. |

No. It a Bachelor of Arts. The Psychology Department is in the Faculty of Arts. Math and Computer Science are also not a BSc... they are both BMath and in the Faculty of Math. |

Well, I generally want to be either in Ontario or Quebec. Toronto would have a lot of the jobs when you graduate. That's something to consider. I would rather go to Ottawa, but there aren't any universities that only offer a master's in clinical psychology so that rules Ottawa out. Montreal, on the other hand, is a different case. Both Concordia and McGill offer the programmes, so I am adding them to my list and may go back to Montreal. York is something I am definitely going to look at. For good measure, I will apply to a university in the Maritimes namely Acadia University. So far on my list I've got Concordia, Mc Gill, Queens, Acadia, and York. I probably need one more on my list. Perhaps, one more from Ontario like Lakehead or a university in B.C. I won't apply to more than six. |

Not a bad improvement from the baby program they had when I left. |
