There's a trick to finding a love motel in Suwon. Throw a rock straight up in the air. You can either go into the love motel the rock lands on, or the one the rock bounces onto after it hits the first one. In other words, there are love motels everywhere.

No $hit brainiac,

That is why I specified "a good one".
Perhaps with a jacuzzi, flat screen tv etc.

I'm not looking for a pay by the hour knocking shop.

Then maybe you should check into a full-fledged hotel. The most acclaimed one I always hear about is Hotel Castle, but it might just be a business hotel.

I'm pretty sure Hotel Castle isn't a love Motel. Although I've never stayed there I've been there several times to catch a bus to the airport. Looks pretty nice, although not cheap; there are only black taxis

Is there some sort of law here that stops people from fucking at a normal motel?

No, but unless you're rich and can afford the best rooms then you won't get anything like what 70-90,000 can get you in an upmarket Love Hotel.

There's a lot of info on Love Hotels in this thread....

Well, generally tourist motels cost between 3 and 5 times what you'd pay for a love motel. I've been put up in a few, and found them less comfortable than your average love motel that was 100,000 won less.

Anyway, hotel365.co.kr is a good directory for motels and other accommodations in Seoul and Gyeonggi. It gives the prices and often has tons of pics of the interior and exterior. There are frequently maps, too. I know the "love motel" wasn't your thing, but you can check out some of the "luxury" motels, too. http://www.hotel365.co.kr/Lodg/Result_Lodg.asp?Type=quick

If the link above doesn't work, go to the homepage, select 지역 above the search box and type in 수원 for Suwon.

Agreed. I've had to stay in some real dumps (conferences, hiking trips etc..) that cost much more than a love motel.

Cheers for that website - very useful.

The coupons like this

http://www.hotel365.co.kr/

Do you just print them off and take them in or do I need to book first?

25k off a room at 70k is a good discount

There is a good one. but i dont' remember the name and it's sort of hidden.

From the suwon train station that the street is one. on the main perpendicular street, go about half a kilometer and it's on your right side.

this place is away from the other love motels. But there's just a small sign that points right.

i wish i knew the name.
