I don't think this is a good idea. I'm not anti-supplement, but there's really no substitute for a healthy diet and lifestyle. "Tricks" can only work for so long before they catch up to you. |

I think I'm a multi-vitamin/mineral addict. I stuff myself with a bunch of pills at every meal. My apartment looks like a pharmacy.
I don't understand people who say they don't need pills. |

Good stuff. It might be a good idea for men, in particular, to add pomegranate to that list. |

Vitamins aren't regulated in the states. So you have no idea which brands truly 'work' and which are *beep*.
My friend works in waste management and he sees undigested vitamins in the wastewater all the time. Some vitamins aren't even digested right because they put little effort into them.
I imagine this is even worse in Asia.
I guess, search for some studies and find a brand with a decent manufacturing process in a pill that can be digested. |
This is definitely true. Nurses call them "bed-pan-bullets", or so I've been told.
I have a book that rates vitamins (over 1500 brands). Here's the range for a few popular brands. Centrum is 0-1/5, Nature Made 0 - 1/5, GNC 0.5 - 3.
A recent study shows that 25% of Calcium supplements have high lead levels. Don't be fooled by "natural, bovine, or coral" on the label.
There are pharmaceutical grade vitamins available in Korea. They arrive at your door within 2 days, from my experience. www.nutriceuticals.usana.com if anyone's interested. These score 5/5. One of only 4 companies to get this rating, out of the products evaluated in the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements.
Hope that helps! |

Omega 3 salmon oil.
I want to get the benefit from eating fish without having to eat it.
If I could get a brocolli pill I'd take that too |

How does Jamieson do?
I should probably take iron. I'm always in the normal but low range when I get my blood tested. |

I use cardio-Klenz, Cholest-natural and Total Balance from http://kazoo.xtend-life.com/default.aspx?id=768342
After discovering I had high blood pressure and cholesterol of 323 I started exercising, I now eat more 'greens' and use the above mentioned products.
My cholesterol is down to 241, so will continue using the products. |
