When do they usually start? I've been keeping an eye out on websites but there aren't many ads at the moment. Is it too early to be looking? |

They won't start until mid- to late July and no Korean would be planning that far ahead yet. |

My roommates and I were signed for a summer camp job over two months ago, and the employer already has all 20 of us counselors hired. So...not all Koreans wait until the last minute. |

Is your employer going to ensure that you ALL get C-4 Visas? |

Yup, we got them a few weeks ago. The school has been very professional--we've been talking with the hiring coordinator a couple times a week ever since we interviewed. |

You are not a camp counseller. Just as there are no camp fires tents or cottages. Camp is just a fancy word for extra lessons during the vacation. |

Well, you see, I'm actually not stupid. I've worked at summer "camps" before in the U.S. that are actually summer schools, and although I realize that the Korean versions will undoubtedly be more tiring, I know that I'm not going to sit around and make smores with my "campers." I actually did extensive research on the camp and am not expecting a picnic or a little waltz. So please don't assume that we're all as naive and unprepared as some people here probably were. |

I asked for and received permission on June 20 for vacation from July 21- July 31. I bought the plane ticket and this week, July 9, I was informed that they decided to have a camp starting on July 23 and all native teachers were required to attend. Pretty funny. |
