there is a show devoted to the defamation of every foriegn teacher here - claiming that we are all out to have sex with korean women and take all their money. this is about 12:15am tuesday morning on the olive channel. the title of the show is jo jil ho saek han - wer guk in gang sa (takes too long to type korean)

is anyone else watching this? they are covertly filming a western teacher and pinning him for upsetting his ex girlfriend or something. this show is literally making my blood boil as i watch this!!!!!!!!!

this are saying foriegn teachers are not screen properly, showing books written by westernes about how to pick up korean chicks, taking covert films outside popular western nightspots in seoul and basically trying to take a giant **** on us all!!!!

every single comments these westerners say is being taken completely out of context - and then you have some overracting narrator MC type woman telling koreans to be careful of us westerners! no mention of all the korean girls and guys who willingly go to these clubs to hang out.

i hope someone else is watching this ! thoughts?

the MC is even holding up the book about how to pick up korean chicks and warning everyone of the dangers - warning koreans about all of us guys!

now she is going on about how easy it is to get an e-2 (phoning immi) and of course they have to find some frat boy again claiming it is easy to fake degrees and get your e-2 (which it is - but what about those of us with education degrees, masters qualifications etc? not a thing!)

There is a book about how to pick up white chicks, but there is nothing said about this very well known book.

hopefully i can download a copy of this show from somewhere tomorrow - and pick out the key points for you all - its unbelievable stuff. quite possibly the biggest insult to the foriegn community here i have ever heard of. un - frickin - believeable!

its over now. the name of the show is 'pandora's box'. I hope some of you take the time to investigate this show as i will try to do tomorrow morning. apologies if this show is old news but this is the first i have heard of it - i would like to get something moving on this!

I'm not a gyopo Korean, but I don't think it's a big deal either. Any Korean who believes that crap isn't worth befriending so it's not an issue for me. Will it influence Korean society? Oh, too late Smile

this show is aimed at the age range of people whom i currently work with - young koreans at university level who are very impressionable to new media forms such as this 'pandora's box' kind of show - seriously - if you just watched it - the way they did the whole thing was just terrible. it was so hard for me to watch without wanting to buy the first ticket back home to england. if it wasnt for the fact that i am getting married next year i probably would have - the straw that broke the camels back.

i wonder if there will be a repeat, or if i can download it

It's an odd looking set. The large room with books and elegant furniture, yet grey. Sumptous, like a study or parlor. The camera pokes around the furniture and knicknacks as it catches the moderator lady from afar, in her lair. She seems to be, from the set, some kind of Queen Bee psychic, very earnest. The show looks like the Korean equivalent of the Twilight Zone or Weird Tales. Possibly it has the same primary function as Dave's;
venting and entertainment. Laughing
