[The Bobster]

Just went to the corner store to get cigarettes, soju and bottled water. I could hear the rain, hear it dropping onto the canopies in front of doorways and the see it falling on the asphalt in front me, all around, water coming out of the sky as it does this time of year. Forgot to bring an umbrella. Didn't matter. Not a drop of it fell on me. Absolutely true. It happened. Take it to the bank.

Suspected for a while now that the universe loves me. Now I know it's true because She finally decided to show me.

On the way back from the store, passed an old lady carrying an umbrella, and we smiled. She didn't know I was smiling because I know I am protected, and I will never die, at least not forever, and that nothing bad will happen to me that I can't handle, because I have all the tools I need.

I thought it would be unkind to tell her.

Um, yeah, always a little high, but I'll swear in a court of law, no drop of water fell on my head tonight.

The poll options got effed-up somehow. The first one to answer was SUPPOSED to be : "Has the universe been kind to you?"

I'll try to fix it if I can. If I can't, I'll blame Dave Sperling, not the universe ... like I said, She has been kind to me.
