LOL! Did you every have to "scrub the deck" with a towel....back and forth? Man, we had a couple of guys that did it the better portion of the night, once.
I tell ya, I hated kill watch, though.
"Jody" was a good gal. I dug drill training, though.

My friends Jolly and Stone and I almost jumped the fence to escape via the airport one night, hoping to avoid having to do those three months all over again on account of a water spill. Long story.

It's a fact that the highest-paid and most famous black entertainers, even today, are making less and getting less attention than white entertainers of the same caliber. That is simply true. She was wrong to claim racism while being arrested for drunk driving, though. Absolutely wrong. I have a feeling at this moment she realizes it was part of the same poor judgment that got her to try drive that night in the first place. We can only hope so. |

You're right. Black people make up 12% of the population. I don't know for sure, but I'm going to venture that they make up a rather analogous percentage of the movie-going population. Maybe black actors just don't draw the same amount of people?
I think it's too bad that Denzel and Will Smith get all the $$$ roles because they're no good. Just like Julia Roberts and Tom Cruise get $$$ roles and they're no good. The Wire and The Shield are great shows which are lauded by the critics, but suffer from low ratings. They're full of great actors, black and otherwise.
Why? Because most Americans, white and black, don't like good movies/TV shows. They'd rather watch Armageddon/Bringing Down the House and the Simple Life/Girlfriends. Such is life. |
