I have contact with some schools which want me to work relatively soon. Unfortuantely, I applied for my university degress 8 weeks ago, but given that time frame, my graduation won't be until September, and we're not given our actual diplomas until 6-8 weeks after that.

Will immigration let me by with an official statement from my school stating I've completed the degree requirements and will be awarded the degree, or is only a physical degree good enough?

Not anymore. You have to have your actual degree. Is it possible to ask your university to put a rush job on it if you explained your situation?

Sorry, you need the diploma paper in hand.

OK, thanks. I was already turned down once on getting a rush processing job, but I'll try again (the person with whom I spoke didn't sound very flexible, so maybe better luck with another).
