Random cultural gifts that won't fade with time: Yangban masks, stationary, drums, wooden pipes, postcards/pictures and stories.

If I can find one, one of those freakin' huge drums that are as wide as my arms, so that when I have a neighbor playing his damn stereo too loud, I can accompany him. Also, the drums are just really cool.

I'm a sucker for the crap they sell in Insadong. The lamps, statues, fans, stamps, figurines, mirrors.. all that.

I'm pretty sure you can just put it in your checked luggage. I suppose you may have to put it in a sealed plastic bag though.

I understood you couldn't take alcohol in your carry-on luggage.

But you're still limited to what? A litre of alcohol. Bummer!

I'm buying gold and silver like crazy. I expect another 1997-style crash soon, I'll leave when the economy folds and the jobs start drying up! Got me a nice little stash going on.
