I had an amalgam filling fall out from my molar about 2 yrs ago. The hole got worse but i never had pain, so i thought before going home, i'd get it patched up in Korea.
Went to my local Yonsei Dental Clinic and the doc showed me the huuuge cavity, yet still no pain after he poked it a few times expecting me to cringe.
He told me i needed to get it fixed of course and since it's quite big, it was 'almost' a crown? ( what is the definition of crown and filling anyways?) The quotes were: Gold = 250K Won but i insisted on ceramics for 300K Won.
He gave me some novocaine and i had no pain at all during the whole procedure.
The fitting was great and i have no problems at all. |

I've had work done on my teeth in Seoul and Bangkok within the last month. If you're talking about resin/white colored fillings, go to Thailand, I paid about 30K won each for them. Here they will run you about 100K. But if you need a root canal and crown, which I did, get that stuff done in Korea. Since the Korean health insurance covers root canals, I paid 20K for the root canal and about 350 K for the crown. You won't get a root canal and crown placed for cheaper than that anywhere in Thailand. So minor stuff, Thailand is better, a lot of heavy work, stay here. |

How much do ceramic veneers cost in Korea? I was going to go to Thailand to get 6 of them done, but then I wondered if it might be easier to use the money I would spend on the trip to get them done here in Korea, even if they cost a bit more? Is the quality of work as good ( my Thai cousins had theirs done in Phuket and look amazing) in Korea? |

As far as I know, it's just fillings I need done (white ones are my peference). I'm not experiencing any pain like I did with the one that needed a root canal, so I don't think any of them have reached that point. If they are that much cheaper in Thailand, I may do it there. 30bucks compared with 100, when you have more than one to get done... that adds up. Thanks for the info! |

Any idea how much cosmetic dentistry would cost in Thailand? Would it be worth it to go there vs Korea? |

Thailand is better by far.. firstly look at korean teeth! Horrible with all those silver fillings and caps. thailand dentists are extremley good and painless they will use top notch drugs and equiptment.. By far the best in the world IMO. ANd very cheap too! Dont kid yourself! Korean dentists are barbarians |
