|
|
My apartment leaks from the wall beneath the window. I rented it privately, so my boss is not responsible for it.
The landlord has pretended to fix the problem twice. He was prompt in getting someone to come around both times, but it was also pretty obvious that what they were doing was ineffectual.
The floor is wet underneath the vinyl again, and he has seen it and he has the key and he agreed - two weeks ago - to bring someone around to deal with the wall properly. He said he'd be here again yesterday, but still nothing has happened.
Does anyone know if there is a place to get help with forcing the hand of landlords in this sort of situation? Something like an accommodation tribunal?
Or what? |

You are likely going to be told that it cannot be fixed during the rainy season because it can't be fixed while it is wet. Once rainy season is over, it won't leak, so they won't "need" to fix it. Better plan not to be there next year this time, because I really doubt it'll have been fixed. |
