I hate naggers too.
Actually at least they are honest - in that stupid naive Korean way. Nothing worse than being rejected at the airport. I don't think they are really doing anything wrong. It may be racist in America and not tolerated, but it seems like in Korea this direct approach is what they want. |

I've written WorknPlay, the site hosting the ad, a complaint email.
Really, they should screen their ads better before hosting them. |

Ha, I didn't realize this was hosted by WorknPlay. Those guys are a bunch of jokers -- or at least jokes. |

I sent nasty emails to the address listed and to [email protected]
I also posted this on my blog and asked people back home to send in complaints.
Although I may send in another email (from a different address) asking for a job... |

Here's what I sent:
Hello,
I am young and white. I also hate anyone who is not white. Is the boss at your school white? Also, is the Korean staff all thin, young, and female? I would never date a Korean (because they're disgusting) but I require that my coworkers be "cute" (they MUST smile!).
Since the contract is really more of a guideline, I'm sure you won't mind if I require 3 million won /month as salary. In addition, I will likely not show up for work on many days. In America, a contract is basically meaningless, and most employers would never consider firing somone for not showing up to work. We Americans are so laid back!!! Also, you will never have to worry about not firing me.
On a brighter note, I am very outgoing and have a smile from ear-to-ear. I have attached my picture (I am such a handsome guy).
Finally, I would like to say that I will not work for a fatty, Asian, old person (yuck) or anyone who thinks a contract is to keep the employee "in line."
Thank you so much and please let me know when I have the job!
and the photo of "myself:"

That ad disturbed me on many levels. I used to teach English in the good ol' ROK until a few weeks ago. I was depressed and irratable most of the time that I was in Korea, and I thought that it was due to culture shock and adjusting to another way. I'm beginning to realize that part of my issues where due to being a white monkey speaking English. I can't call what I did teaching, it was merely parents paying for their kids to be around a white person, like some essence of it would magically rub off on their children.
Like being around a person with big eyes would make their children- what?- more money? more respect? less Asian?
The more shocking part is that people are complacent with the hogwon system. I can't believe that more widespread educational reform has not taken place. Maybe someday. But I won't be there. |

Hi, This is Gina Song.
I was surprised at the news paper article, today. So I check your e mail now.
First of all, I am really ashamed my country people.
Because I NEVER DID LIKE THAT.
As you know, the owner is busy all day.
I couldn't enough time to make advertisement.
Also We don't need a teacher this time.
I think that somebody made this fake ad instead of me.
If you really want to talk to me, visit this school anytime..
I have to do many things about this problem.
I will sue The Korea Herold and somebody to make fake one.
Please don't misunderstand me and this school.
Thank you for reading my disorganized letter..
regard Gina Song.

I think maybe this letter is fake. I mean she says she's going to sue the Korea Herald? How about suing the site that hosted the ad?
Plus didn't the person who placed the ad on work 'n play have to pay some insertion fees?
Very fishy. |

ooh! This school sounds perfect for me. Thank goodness I am average-sized, blonde, green-eyed, and American. Thanks guys for putting me on to this position. This way, I won't have to work with any of those Brits/Irish/Aussies/Kiwis/South Africans that think they speak English. Kid's Club, here I come!
ps: Has that skinhead gotten out of jail yet? I really want his number. |
