I passed some kidney stones about 5 years ago and fear that I am feeling the same symptoms again. I have been in Korea for 6 months and have not made a trip to the doctor yet. I know that there is not a whole lot any doctor can do in regards to kidney stones except give me some pain medicine and wish me luck. I really don't want to go to the doctor and go through the charades of trying to explain things. Does anyone know where I can get the strongest possible pain reducers? Thanks!

Quick check for their size.... then Dr. will give you pain meds.... or send you for ultra sonics to break them up so they will pass quickly...

It's not that difficult to deal with as far as a doctor goes. The strongest / only pain meds you can get OTC here are tylenol, asprin or ibruprofen.

Oh my god- go to the doc. This place I went to is really good, and you could probably get in very quickly:

(they speak good English too.)

You owe it to yourself- and your 'member' down there.

I had a kidney stone a few years back one big one of 12 mm. The pain of trying to get that stone out through a 2 mm duct was more than a little intense.

According to some lierature it is one of the most intense pains going. They did the ultrasound thing on me and I peed gravel for a few days. That was almost a pleasure after trying to pass it whole.

Severance Hospital next to Yonsei Uni is more expensive, but their Intl. clinic has the best western-trained doctors in Korea.
