As for the Isles, my first post was against them...but then i got thinking instead of typing...they could be solid for sure. Getting rid of Yashin is huge and Owen Nolan is a player. I think Diepietro is a heck of a goalie though health is his concern.

Ryan Smyth did a no no for sure...and he is a Banff boy at that. Talking about pisin where you sleep.

Early prediction: Rangers win the East. West still to wide open for me at this point...best division to watch will be the Atlantic for sure. The doormats will be ( and im sorry to say it, but remember it is how i feel) Toronto and Montreal and the SouthEast division.

You may think Owen Nolan may be a player, but what good is he going to do for the Isles when he's playing for Calgary this year?

Don't let our whitey ramblings about sport disturb your game of Yunnori hyung.. we're not worthy.

My bad...i always get Guerin and Nolan mixed up. Power forwards, played most of their careers in the West. Thanks for the correction.

New season sched is out.
Ducks/Kings renew their bitter hatred of each other in England... during the regular season!

I had no idea that the Cup was bought (made?) in London. Must have been a wee little thing back then.

Yeah man. You gotta head to the Hockey Hall of Fame, see the real Cup. It's pretty cool, and quite small! It was a gift from a British Lord (Lord Stanley) to the people of Canada.

I thought the real cup just kept growing. There are replicas for security reasons, but the one they bring out when a team wins is the real deal. What do they do? Keep taking out the top of the cup and putting in and unofficial one? Maybe what you saw at the Hall was a replica. Strange.

As a Sens fan, and any hockey fan for that matter, what is happening to Alexi Yashin is AWESOME! Talk about karma biting that Russian potato picking bastard in the ASS!

A little something you should know about Cash if you dont already know: He held out three times before the age of 26. 26!!!! What a jerk. Who is he? What was he thinking? It is a privelage to play as a professional in the best league in the world....

I hope he takes his ass back to Russia and that is the end of him!

Yeah, Yashin seems like a prima donna. Although I would sign him for a year if he came cheap. Like $2million cheap. Probably be a cancer in the dressing room however. Anyways, it's been a long time since the Habs have had anything resembling a superstar.

With Souray gone to Edmonton and trading Rivet away last year our blueline is looking mighty suspect. Mighty suspect...

EDIT: DK, after reading the TSN article and seeing the attached video to it, I recant my previous statement. Take his money grubbing ass back to Russia. I seriously hope he either doesn't get another big payout or he takes a blow to his ego and signs for pittance... PITTANCE. Wang was probably the only guy in the NHL who would give him that kind of money anyways.

Actually, I wouldn't mind Yashin in Washington. He played with Ovechkin and Kozlov on the same line in the Olympics and did rather well. If he is motivated to play and with fellow Russians he may work out rather well. If they could sign him for 2 million/year I'd be happy but he would probably want a lot more. Sad
