Very often. Mostly now I just quote sentiments I agree with and write "seconded" or "bingo".

I'll often write something, erase it, rephrase it, edit it, rephrase it again...then realize I've just wasted 8 minutes of my life trying to eloquate a point that will never, no matter how poignant, get through to its intended target, then it's erased.

Interesting topic. This is like the whole tossing off into a sock thing. For years I thought I was the only one. At first I was elated to know that I wasn't a freak, but also a little disappointed that I wasn't the only one clever enough to have thought of it.
