Busan
Recently, I moved to the second most popular beach in Pusan. It makes a big difference. I used to run along diry, polluted river (in the PNU area of Pusan); now I run along the beach front.
Its a two minute walk to the beach from my house. Ah sah.
There are a lot of teachers in Pusan but not nearly as many as Seoul. If you want to find familiar faces or friends, you can. If you want to spend the day by yourself at the beach or in the mountains, you can.
If you want to take a three hour ferry to Japan, you can.
If you want to visit Jeju-do on a budget, you can.
I really will never understand why anyone would move to Seoul.
PM if you are a good teacher and you want a good job. |

Korea revolves around Seoul. Most of the economy is here as are many of the good jobs. If you can find a good job in another city though, go for it. |

Good point one-way.
However you can find many excellent jobs in other cities and live just as well. It also depends on what you are looking for.
I for one would not live in Seoul, much prefering Busan. |

I love Busan. Its my favorite city in Korea. Unfortunately, everyone I know lives in or around Seoul. I think when my current contract is over, I might try and get a gig down in Busan. |
