My friend is working in Seoul at the moment. She's lost her E2 Visa and hasn't got the time to find out how to fix this. She shot me a quick email while she was at work to ask me to help her find out and give her an email back when I do.

I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find the answer.

If anyone could tell me what she needs to do having lost her E2 Visa, that would be great.

Her boss is being a real jerk about it and not helping at all.

My guess is that she lost her passport with her E-2 attached to it?

If that is the case, report the passport lost at a Police Station, get a police report.

Go to the embassy and request a new one.

If your friend has her ARC, she'll be OK so long as she's in the country. If she wants to leave, she can't re-enter without the VISA, but since she probably doesn't have her passport either, no biggie.

Once you get the new passport, take it to immi and they'll stamp it for the VISA so everything's good.

It's not possible to lose an E2 - VISA. It is NOT a separate piece of paper that you fold up and put in your wallet.

Did she lose her passport or her ARC?

If she lost her passport, contact her embassy. They will get her a new one.

If she lost her ARC, then a quick trip down to the local immigration office and a 10k won fee will get a replacement.

You know, I don't know. I'm going to send her what you've said as well and let her figure out that part. All of you are fabulous. I thank you very much for your help!
