I'm ready to buy but, can't make up my mind on which to buy. I'm only considering the max flash memory ones (8g for the 7 & 4g for the D2) but, which has the better sound quality or are they identical? That's all I really care about.

HELP ME DECIDE!!!!!! Very Happy

iaudio7 is just an mp3 player, no video right?
And the D2 has video?
That was my understanding but I could be wrong.

I already have a istation pmp, but I was thinking
of getting the iaudio7 just for a little mp3 player.
Couldn't find one at Yongsan to demo though Sad

Yeah, I know that the D2 has a 2.5 LCD but, I don't think I'd get it to watch video on it, too small. The 7 is brand new so it's difficult to find any critique's of it. I was hoping that someone who happened to have just got one would respond here on it but I don't think that's gonna happen. I'll probably end up going w/ the 7 , though. A bit pricey (lowest price online = 219,000 so I figure I can pick one up for 2 bills if I bought directly at Young san) but the reviews I've read are all pretty much raving....Anyhow, like you mentioned, it would be nice to hear it first before I decide. Perhaps, I'll wait till after my vacation to decide. Thanks! Very Happy

d'oh! Laughing You just got spliff'd by mrsquirrel!

definition:
1. spliff'd

Ridiculous or lowball bids placed on items for sale at Dave's ESL Cafe, usually with no intent to buy.

2. spliff'd

mean spirited comments, thinly veiled with humor and laced with sarcasm, aimed at ridiculing a poster on Dave's ESL Cafe.

I'm a D2 owner so I'm biased but having bought an mp3 player before for the sole purpose of playing music, it wasn't enough to keep me occupied. The D2 is a video player, txt and image viewer and now flash player. The screen is big enough to watch from a feet away.

Basically I think its a great purchase for the great battery life and expandable memory. HDSD cards are increasing in size (32GB from the last time I read up on them) so its essentially future proof.

I think that's what I like about the D2, it has features to last a lot longer than other media players. As for sound quality, everything depends on the encoding and headphones. It has preset equaliser settings which can be adjusted to your preference. Cowon/iAudio produce some of the better sounding media players.

The iAudio7 looks more "pocketable".
