I NEVER see any other white people outside of school or in Itaewon. That's IT! How do so many of you post that you see other native speakers all of the time? WTF? Do you ALL live in Itaewon in the same Office-Tel? |

When I lived in Daechi-dong, Gangnam, I would see around 10 foreigners per day or more.
Where I am now in North-East Seoul I see about 2 per week! But I know there are a lot more further North, up in Nowon-gu.
Just depends on neighborhoods. Some neighborhoods, like Junggye-dong in N.E. Seoul have a lot of hagwons so there is a concentration of foreigners there. Yet it's nowhere near Itaewon. |

At my hagwon in Bundang last year there were between 12 and 14 foreigners at my campus alone. Bundang has a lot of foreigners, but depending on where I was I could go a few days without seeing any. |

I went three months without seeing a foreigner where I live. After that I went another three months and saw only two or three foreigners. |

What is la festa anyway? It looks like a combination mall, cinema, condo, parking, shopping, cafe district. I'm used to malls and strips but la festa is way beyond any of that. |

when I was in Korea, I was amazed or shocked at the fact that I saw so many foreigners. First day out, I saw at least two white guys in Doota. That doesn't even include the jpn or chinese tourists @_@ |

In Haeundae New Town there are two buildings with about 20 (at LEAST) foreigners each. You see them all the time. Its kind ofl ike being in college actually.
Now, I live in a different part of Haeundae, but where are all the businessmen and their families live. So I see a lot of blond kids and wives mainly.
Its all about location. |

I live here since 2004 in Seoul and I hardly see white/foreign people. They are simply not around unless I go to Itaewon for lunch or Hongdae Tinpan for chasing girls. But often months pass by before I see a fellow foreigner and its usually some wierdo who seems lost with some distant look in his eyes. Saw some gyoppo chicks (senior HS) or freshman college drinking prolly their first beers out of family mart. |

I've been living in Yeongdeongpo-gu for 6 weeks and am yet to meet any foreigners here. I've seen a few, but have not exchanged pleasantries with them yet. If you live here, please say hi to the tall red-headed guy. You can't miss me! |

i live in a smaller city pretty far from Seoul, plus i've only been here three weeks. and yet i have seen several random white people (not my coworkers) walking around. my second or third day here a cowoker took me to E-Mart where I saw three black women shopping together. and then i saw a black man in a bar last night having a drink with a korean woman.
i hear people talk about the stares from locals, but so far i haven't gotten any of that. (have gotten HELLOOOOO! from little kids. to me, that seems cute instead of rude). maybe it's because this is a small town with a relatively large number of foreigners, so i don't stick out so much.
or maybe i'm too ugly to stare at. |
