I cut and pasted from the iPhone thread. I am wondering if anyone has seen a phone like this, or the Helio in Korea. Basically I want the full keyboard and video camera features with my mobile phone. Anyone know if these exist in Korea? I've gone through the Gangnam mobile phone area, and have seen no PDA phones--just Korean phones, and a few that have the TV feature.
Nokia E90, just appearing now around the world. Here are a few reviews:

Pretty much got everything: 3G, HSDPA, 3.2 megapixel camera, 30 fps video camera, GPS, full Qwerty keyboard, supports up to 8GB SD cards, wi-fi, two screens, music/video player, edit Word/Excel documents....and you can buy it unlocked. Ok, it is very expensive, you're looking at $1000, but for what you're getting, I think it's worth it. |

Yep, seems so--just had a Korean techie geek here at the PC Bang search the Korean internet for that combo, and it seems it doesn't exist. Keyboard?! For what? Play game, OK! Other combos like satellite TV, internet, high rez vid cam, phone--but nothing with a keyboard. |

Yeah, I'm in search of a full keyboard on a phone...why? My g/f insists on constantly text messaging, and I suck at it. Takes me forever. But I type fast. So this would be perfect for me. If anyone can find a Korean phone w/ keyboard, I will let you have my g/f for a night. And she's HOT. |

...and you can use this in Korea? If so, what company do you use for service? SK? KT? |

From what I have found, this phone is on CDMA at 800mhz, which is compatible with South Korea. It would seem that as long as it is unlocked it would work here. Some sites list phones as 850mhz, but this is the same frequency.
CDMA 850 is CDMA technology operating in the Cellular (800 MHz / 850 MHz) frequency band.
Before the existence of GSM 850, the Cellular band was commonly referred to as the "800 MHz" band. "850 MHz" implies a different frequency band, but this is not the case. "800 MHz" and "850 MHz" refer to the exact same frequency band. 850 is technically a more accurate description of the frequency range, although "800" is still common.

Really, I don't know too much about cell phone technology. In fact, I have been here for 2 yrs and don't even own one, but I wouldn't mind getting a pda phone.
Can any techs out there enlighten us further? |

By the by--I'm getting that Blackjack phone you started a thread on--thanks. If you would have posted here, you could have had my hot girlfriend for a night (read above) .
I think that the Samsung Blackjack is the closest thing to a "PC Pocket Phone" they offer in Korea. I would have liked a few more features, but it will do. |
