If they are not slimy or sticky but they smell "sweet"....strongly sweet, are they still safe to eat? Just bought them. They haven't yellowed or anything.

Hey, do you know what these mushrooms are called? I've spent hours trying to figure them out by looking at various mushroom sites but cannot find even one pic of them.

EDIT: Never mind. Asked my friend who knows everything...really, she does...should have asked her first. They are Pleurotus eryngii, also known as King Oyster mushrooms and my friend confirmed that the ones she has in her fridge do have a sweet, honeysuckle like scent.
