Looks familiar. Maybe from a movie where when they cut that monster open, the insides looked like spaghetti and tomato sauce.

I'm old and geeky, but I dunno for sure.

Is it 'Space: 1999', circa 1976, starring Martin Landau? Shytte looks familiar as hell.

I think it's the Krinoid from Dr.Who's 'The Seeds of Doom' starring Tom Baker.

Looks like it could be from the movie "The Gate" (1987) but I don't know for sure.

I'd tend to go with Dr Who too, though I'm not entirely sure.

Yup. From an episode called Dragon's Domain

Scared the living crap out of me when I was a kid.

Yay! I'm the geekiest! I'm terrific.

Seriously though, I don't think I ever saw even re-runs of that show, but it was a big Sunday night ritual in my family to watch it together back in, oh, 1976 or 77. I can't remember plots but I do remember some of the imagery, and some of the actors, and the cool spaceships they had. I guess I was around 4 or 5. Wow, 30 years, now!

Was that show any good, TWG? Did you ever see it as an adult?

Memory is so weird. I still get jingles stuck in my head from those days too.

I watched it all the time. I thought it was the greatest. I dare not watch it now; I enjoy the delusions that still linger.

As for the picture twg posted, that was a crazy program. The monster dragged people under it then spat out the bones. Groovy.

Yes!!! I distinctly remember seeing the reruns on FRENCH tv ("Cosmos 1999"), maybe 15 or 20 years ago. Loved the Martin Landau-Barbara Bain chemistry. Thanks for the memories, now I must go and try to find me some episodes of Mission:Impossible... Rollin Hand and Cinnamon Carter!

It's very... slow by today's standards. And the heroes aren't the proactive sorts you'd see today. It's pretty much of it's time.
