Also bro...I've read some of your posts, and I've concluded that you argue just to argue, whether you believe your point or not..like it's giving you free law school practice of arguing the opposing side to what you truly believe...some of your stuff is just way far out... |

C'mon bro! The guy's got an interesting perspective. People don't need to see eye-to-eye with everyone.
Gives this board character IMO.

I went through six hours of BS at a Korean police station for knocking a Korean guy out after he hit a Korean woman. Luckily I had SOFA status and was able to get back to reality and clear the matter. |
You were on duty at the time? I was under the impression that the SOFA only got you out of the hands of the Korean justice system if you were on duty... |

Seriously Gord,
Here are your stats.
1 Good post.
The rest totally a waste of space on the hard drive where this forum is saved.
Seriously Gord, your perspective is skewed. |
And how many posts do you have? 37 at the time I'm writing this? How valid is your thinking?
Newbies shouldn't challenge the credibility of long-term members. Just my opinion.
 |
Hey all because I have low post count, doesnt make me a newbie. I read a lot what is going on and only post when I think I have something to say.
If you are considered an old timer by filling up post counts with smile faces or "I agree" then I am definately not one of these |

People also don't have to ridicule folks for fun. Gord's a S@#t Disturber with a capital S. One week reading this forum and it's as clear as crystal.
Im all for his right to say what he wants, but Im all for people digging into his abuse and tossing it back onto him. If someone chooses to be condescending and snotty such as Gord good for them, but double good on those who wont stand for it.
I generally ignore his posts but end up reading peoples reactions and even then Im sick to death of his button-pushing. I think its time Gord grew up and moved on. His shtick is tired and old.
Cheers,
Joe Thanks |

Here's another toast to people who post when they have something worthwhile to say. Just because someone has fewer than 500 posts doesn't mean they haven't been around on the boards.
oh---woo-hoo! Look, my number of posts has gone up one! ooooh, nifty.
On second thought, forget that. I'm aiming for 1,000 by the end of the month!

Anyway, why do people, i.e. Hadeshorn, need to slam other posters when they don't the least about them. I'm merely sticking up for Gord in my post.
Let's knock this off and get back to the thread shall we.

You missed the entire point.
The original poster took an unfortunate incident and went on the attack by saying no one did anything. Instead, it should have been a speech of sadness in which he said "no one, including myself, did anything. That makes me very sad".
That was it. That whole glass houses and throwing stones thing. |

Gord,
He did do something.
You're just lying again to make a point. Points based on lies are worthless.
That's your MO! |

Back that train up and look at what has been said by everyone. Yes, he did something. So did the people who phoned the police and so did the people who came outside. They all "did something".
But when crunch time hit, everyone backed down. Thus "no one did anything" as outlined by the original poster as their actions did not prevent the end result of the woman being taken away by her husband. I'm just quoting under the context already set by the original poster that "no one did anything" means that their efforts were not enough to impact the situation, not a literal did nothing.
Doing a change on the fly of what a phrase means then using that changed meaning to suggest I am engaged in proclaiming false truths to win a debate is dishonourable.
If you wish to attack my usage of the phrase "no one did anything", please direct your attack to those who used had outlined it previously in the thread that "no one did anything" were not using the phrase literally. |

he then picks her up and drags her across the street toward me with her feet dangling to get up. She's screaming. This guy is now 5 feet from me...I see him pick her up, choke her with one hand, into a fence near the sidewalk, then throw her down hard into the pavement and kick her.
My eyes started buggin out and I start yelling at the guy...he comes over to me like he's going to hit me, and I get furious... |
So, before getting angry enough to intervene, you allowed him to knock her down, drag her accross the street, pick her up, choke her, throw her down to the ground, and begin kicking her?
I would've thought someone as morally concerned as you claim to be would've jumped in right as soon as he knocked her down the first time. Then again, early intervention would've prevented the abuse from getting as nasty as it did, thus depriving your story of details neccesary to establish the character of the deliciously hateful "Korean male" villain. Oh, and the indifferent cops were a nice touch too.
Anyway, now you can go back to fighting those arab terrorists in Itaewon.

OTOH I now dub you forum moron of the week. Please don't post again until you can do so without appearing to have the mental age of a 9 year old. |
