| My favourite PC bang is in the same building as my school. It's dark and filled with gamers. But the coolest thing about it is "nighttime guy". He's the guy who runs it during the night so I deal with him a few times a week after work when I want to check my email. "Nighttime guy" is cool becuase no matter what time it is he wears sunglasses. 11:00 at night? Sunglasses! 2:00 AM? Sunglasses! "Nighttime guy" He's a person who you'd want to be running a PC bang after dark. I also like this PC Bang becuase I get to download songs to my MP3 player. But I always clean up my mess afterwards. Well that's my favourite PC bang. What's yours? |

My favorite PC bang is my one room apartment where I have my laptop and internet.  During my first 3 months here, I used to go to a smoky PC bang every night after work until I got my laptop. I chose the smoky one since it was the only one within walking distance. I bought a laptop when I realized the costs add up spending 100 hours a month in a PC bang and being told to go home waegook and then annoying drunk ajoshies getting in my way when I would walk home late at night. It was very awkward for me so now I stay in my own PC bang for the most part outside of work. |

| I just moved so I'm waiting for a net connection this week. I found a great pc방 that serves large glasses of iced coffee or green tea with ice and has a seperate smoking ROOM which means I can actually breathe in here. Staff is great and the chairs are comfy. Huge widescreen monitors. In Mokdong. |

Wow..
-that hasn't happened to me yet... although they have reached the point of being obviously irritated at the foreigner using their PC bang. Worst I've had is rows of people emptying beside me, or getting progressively worse service til I finally stop coming in.
My favourite one now is one that is so big, they don't care if theres a foreigner in it or not. |

I miss Korean PC bangs. The smokier the better. One on every corner. What with everything pretty much stored online, you don't even need a computer anymore. Just log in wherever you are. A combination of solitary and social.
They have them here in Toronto but they're just not the same. No smoking. Too expensive. Harder to find. Only the Koreans play games.

Actually theres 4 on my street.
No. 1: too small and smoky: sometimes a racist-type guy running it.
No.2: Not bad but often hordes of noisy gamers.
No3: large with new computers and friendly staff: good.
No.4: Other customers often too nervous to sit next to me. |
