What are the dramas on now that you enjoy watching (recent re-runs okay too)?

I have been watching that one about the woman who is pregnant and has cancer on and off (what is that one called?). I have been pleasantly surprised by how much I can understand. Now I feel like I should watch more dramas to improve my Korean...

So what are your favorite current shows? I really loved Annyoung Franceska a few years back and would love to find something similarly wacky that's playing currently. I also thought Kim Samsoon was generally a cute show, and easy to understand. I could also get into something like Daejanggeum.

There is one show on MBC in the late afternoons that looks like it about a family with a baby? Any tips as to what that is and when it plays? It looks cheesy, to be honest, but the current government/media push to increase the birthrate fits with my research, so I'm interested in following this show...

Finally (and sorry for the long post)- I know most Koreans just download shows they want to watch. Is there a place to buy them with subtitles though in Seoul?

Bump

(I am sad that most of my posts are so boring that I always need to bump them myself).

I know Korean TV is not the greatest, but it's good for language learning...

Many of the Uzbeks in my town can speak good Korean after only six months due largely to watching Korean soap operas - I wish I knew the secret.

I'm in heaven because AFN airs Days of Our Lives now...Finally, after all these freaking years. That's what I'll be watching on my day off Tuesday. I've been watching that show since I was like 7 years old.

That is great news. But still doesn't answer my question.

Nobody watches TV here, not even when you're bored??

The Happy Girl (rough translation) Korean drama show on the weekend at 8 on KBS. Seems to be the only show I enjoy watching with the wife, but then we have money bets on various outcomes of the show. Is interesting enough I guess.
