Don't you guys think so? I'm not talking about necessarily leaving Korea? I have a good job (good enough) and all, but I just think it's time to look for something else. I think Korea is good enough and has been good enough to me, but I've been at the same job for so long.
Sometimes you think you belong, but you really don't.
I gotta move.
You guys feel the same? |

| Yeah I get the same way about the 3 year mark. I've got a decent enough unigwon job, but am out after this semester. Maybe you should try a different city? If you're in Seoul now, go for one of the suburbs, or better yet Busan or Jeju. I'd be in either of those places if I could convince my wife to make the move. |

But my situation is so easy. Fark. Sometimes, I think they want me out. Maybe not. I make the students study so hard, but I don't go crazy or nothing. I figure it's what is wanted. I'm no nazi (we'll maybe). You know what I mean? |

Anyway, I bought a bottle of Dimple wiskey. Tomorrow's a holiday.
My boss told my Korean friend tonight that I was "a problem". Fuk. I'm like what? A problem because I'm such a good English teacher? My boss was gone, but came back in a fashion to shake my friends hand (I didn't offer 'cause I already know him) and tell us, "Next time we should all eat together" in his all fked up BS.
Don't worry. I'll confront him. I think my boss was tired. I'm an unbeliebable, sorry bastard to him. Not that he doesn't deseve it.
But still. Three years at the same hagwon?
My co-worker's, who's been there a whole month more than me, is due to start pretty soon. I think it's time for me to get out with dignity. Plus I'm an EXPENSIVE fk.
Pissss me off. |

| if your going to be a teacher forever why not go back home and get licenced so you can move overseas and teach at goo international schools. that way you can choose a poor country but still make as much as you do in korea. |

| On behalf of all of the public school teachers here (especially those of us who teach academic high school) let me say how much your invaluable insight and advice on teaching will be missed. |

Its a good idea to move on. My issue now is that my boss is a 20th century fox... she's just a doll in so many ways. I'm having a hard time dumping her even though we don't have a relationship. I'm never gonna have a boss like that again. Ever. I'm the victim of nice hair, body, dress and demeanor and its far more powerful than usual workplace arm twisting.
I appreciate the good old days of sleazy hogwan bosses where leaving was alot more easy. |

Yes, all the true haters of me are coming out. Heh, heh, heh. Good ploy. I'm patting myself on the back right now. |
