I was going to call my co-teacher a strumpet for not telling me there is a holiday tomorrow, until I did a quick google search and discovered the term is not really appropriate.

I did however find this. Maybe we can find some other accusation to wield at forum members besides 'sock' and 'troll' (what the hell is a 'sock' anyway?)

Wow, I have to say, that really is a very comprehensive and astute list of poster 'personalities.'

I figure I'm a bit like several of them, but mostly I'm the 'Jekyll and Hyde."

"As a forum participant Jekyll and Hyde always plays by the rules and is consistently cordial and helpful a model netizen, until one day he comes completely uncorked and lashes out without warning. His unanticipated thunderbolts can temporarily rout even the sturdiest Warriors, and it often takes some time for his stunned opponents to mount a counter attack. Jekyll and Hydes sudden behavioral change may result from a psychotic episode, PMS, a downturn in the market, a surprise visit by the in-laws or a session of hard drinking..."

Yikes.

Which one are you? I've seen a few of our beloved summed up with frightening accuracy on this site...worth a look if you can handle grotesquely unflattering descriptions of your own character.

a sock is short for a sockpuppet. someone's alter-ego in the same forum, usually used for trolling purposes. in gaming terms, it is the same as smurfing.

Okay, thanks.

I'm not sure which personality I am. I really like getting responses though. Does that make me a troll?
